Christmas Day started out a good morning. Kids woke up bright eyed, anxious, excited and the positive morning seemed to permeate throughout the rest of us. As great as it was, it would not last. The demands of family started. The guilt they laid on me was too much to bare. Trying hard to make everyone else happy took it's toll on me. At one point, I went into the bathroom and cried. It's difficult to have relatives with such strong and demanding personalilities that you feel like a yoyo going back and forth. They see the stress on my face and the saddness in my voice. Why do they act surprised? Why do they start with sentences like "Oh, sorry to put you out so." When they truly don't mean it. What a stressful Christmas. What a sad day. I'm glad it's over.
