Loneliness. This is something that plagues me. I have a family that cares about me, some people I can call friends and a great cat but I still feel lonely. I'm sure its all my fault because I isolate. I don't put myself out there. I'm afraid and I don't feel like I have anything in common with most people. I feel different from most people. Feeling lonely sucks!

Loneliness really is terrible...but, hey, Pagan, I don\'t think it\'s your fault. I think some of us are wired differently, and connection is more difficult and takes effort. Idk...just thinking. Whatever or however, that feeling seems part of the illness. Hugs and love!

I hope that you can accept that there are a few people around here that don\'t want you to feel or be lonely, you\'re a lovely person who deserves happiness. Big hugs.

I know exactly how you feel, Pagan. I have one friend with whom I spend time every other week. I\'m very close to my husband (so that\'s a plus) and my son (another plus). I feel lonely much of the rest of the time.

You are not at fault for being lonely - it\'s not as easy as just putting yourself out there. HERE you have MANY friends - but I get what you\'re saying about RL. It\'s hard to make friends. Especially when this horrid disease is right there rearing its ugly head. You sound so desolate in your writing - I hope you know how much you are loved here and how much wonderfulness you bring to the group! Big hugs, sweetie!

I think loneliness is something that all of us with social anxiety are plagued with. I know that\'s not helpful... but I understand loneliness, and even feeling lonely when we are surrounded by others. I feel different from most others too... idk how accurate or inaccurate that belief is... but try not to dwell on it. You\'re a human being, a person, just like everyone else.
((hugs)) friend.
