My grandpa is still in hospital and this time it doesn't look like he is coming back, alive :( Mum and gran got a phone call this morning at about half 8ish to say that his condition had deteriorated during the night so they went in immediately. Was given 24 hours to live, put on oxygen and on some machine to raise his blood pressure. He hasn't been getting dialysis anymore either because he is just too weak, has an infection in his legs, flesh eating bug of some sort :S hes on lots of antibiotics. I went back tonight and hes actually perked up a little. His condition is stable for the now and looks like he may have a little more time left. Unfortunately he can't come home :( even to pass away there. We all know its round the corner, now its just a waiting game. And for me, and everyone else as I can imagine, we just know its going to happen but are trying not to show it. It's so hard trying to stay strong when you see him lying there on the bed. He is not confused he is fully aware that we are around him and can hear every word, which is very good. He nods and talks occasionally only small words, but its something. I even got a goodbye and a wave tonight before I left with my brother and gran. Mum stayed a little longer. Things are going to be really strange for the next few days. Already I don't know what to do with myself. I was supposed to have work but I called in sick after mum had called me and basically told me that I had to be at the hospital if I wanted to see my grandad before he went. Work was told straight. I just wish he could stay a little longer. I thought he would be here for this Christmas and New Year with us. I didn't expect things to happen so soon :( and now it may only be a matter of days left. I just want my grandad to stay. My grans going to be so unbelieveabley lonely in the house. I know they had their petty arguements, but who doesnt! Mum, I feel so bad for her, thats her father :( Now, I can only wait :(
