Okay

I'm NOT depressed, I'm DISCOURAGED...How's that? It feels better.  Wifey and I and our son are going to play 'hooky' today and catch the 5:00 o'clock showing of "Mama Mia!" this afternoon. The last time we did this was for "Star Wars". I forgot to mention that I increased my CD collection last week with a copy of "The Essential Chopin". it's really intricate music for piano.  Good session yesterday with the therapist, homework is to find out what causes me to think it's so difficult to ask for help. Doing it all myself he suggested was about PRIDE. Also in class last night, while going over healthy and un-healthy personalities, I found that mine is un-healthy...according to Adlerian Therapy...almost no social contacts. Success is tied to socialability, helping others etc. Contribution to society in our roles. Could be true, could be that Adler was just an Extrovert; extroverts are 'herd' type people, introverts are not. Alfred Adler was at one time a protege' of Freud and Carl Jung. It may help to socialize more, can't hurt. My reticence may be just feeling of low self-worth based on career...or not. It's that self-image thingy, the projected self-image requirements we codeps believe we need to have. In any case, I still have some major changes to go through before I get to feel better about myself. I do know that at the moment I am in a 'Survival Mode', which really restricts my feelings of happiness and freedom. Some how I have to get myself into a position of comfort finalncially, some dependable income level to enjoy life with. Discouragemant is the feeling now; it'll be worth it to see how I unfold it in the future.  I do know that my DS work, current job, and school are limiting my free time. And so I have to go now. to make some money. Question for the day: What Am I doning to help myself enjoy life today and to help others? Have a great weekend.
