with your crystal blue eyes
and your gentle dimples

you struggled then overcame
when everyone stood in doubt...

they all seem to be forgetting your beautiful smile
how easy it must be for them
but, for me, it is not
because I held you too close to ever really let you go
and though youre gone and smiling somewhere else
my arms still ache for you and my heart still holds you
though the ground now covers your tiny body
I remember when you were not so far away and I could touch you
and inhale your sweet scent
Id hold your tiny fingers, one by one in my hands
and kiss them all
because they were so strong
