Well.....I survived another night out with the "normal" people. It was the hardest thing to do, but I am glad I went cause otherwise I would've stayed home and been misreable. I am finding out that the more you share how your doing and feeling with those you love and trust, the more they seem to think they know, and try to help, and it almost always makes it worse. I shared my health concerns and issues and struggles for a good reason.....I am looking for support from those I am closest to on a daily basis. At first they were very understanding and very supportive but now that it has been a year I should be feeling fine.....DUH! Does anyone else out here in Bipolar land feel "fine?" Is it just me? They may not say those exact words to me but that is how I am taking it. I think I may just stop reporting in and when someone asks "How are you doing?" I will just smile and ask them the same question back. My best friend is very very supportive and understanding but you know what.......she just doesn't get it! I have figured out that if you don't experience this disease first hand that you just don't get the full picture. It was the same with my Hep C, i had lots of support and compassion but they just weren't in the same boat so they were missing it. Well, I should think about going to bed soon. Have a busy day tommorow and don't know yet how I will be feeling. I need some rest. Talk later Love and Prayers Ramona oxxoxo

Ramona, I tend to reserve my true feelings for the people closest to me. Call it a safety mechanism of sorts. Usually, if someone I am not close to asks how I am doing, I tell them \"wonderful\". Most people who do not live with you or spend alot of time with you will not understand unless they have a family member with bipolar disorder. I am very open with my family and close friends. They matter most to me. But church members I see once a week briefly, I dont expound on my feelings or emotions. It just isnt important enough to want to go into detailed explanation to try to make them understand. I will keep praying for you and I know you can do this. I have every confidence in you because you are filled with the power and love of God. Luv and hugs, Shelly
