Happy Thanksgiving!!!!! I love holidays which is an amazing thing because almost everyone has been ruined in some way by fighting or yelling, or some kind of crap. There was crap this holiday mind you. Just it didn't bother me like it used to. Last year this time I had only been diagnosed for one month. I had just started taking meds and was still off my rocker. What a difference it is with meds, and I'm not even on the right ones right now. Although the Seroquel is helping immensely. Today was eventful and exciting. I started this morning feeling great... took my meds, and made breakfast and was just hunky dorey. I started baking my first pumpkin pie ever ( I made my first pie crust too. My advice is just buy one the damn thing took me 2 hours to make and then I still had to make the stupid innards of it. Very annoying.) Anyhow about 30 minutes after I took my meds are started feeling sick and woozey. As I thought back to 30 minutes ago I realized I took my night time meds and not my day time meds. So I double dosed on Seroquel and that was why I was feelign so completely loopy. I mean it was in minutes and I could barely speak in full sentences. My skin and muscles just hung off my bones they were so relaxed. I tried to work through it but that only made me feel sick and I threw up 3 times. Kind of good I guess since it got some of it out of my system and I immediatly started feeling better. All this made us an hour late leaving the house and my husband was extremely annoyed which made me very angry because I wasn't freaking doing my hair or something stupid like that. I WAS VOMITING! Shit. Cut a girl some slack. We went out to his bosses house where we had a turkey fried and ate his bosses sisters pies and cooking. She can cook! I mean she can cook! It was fun and realy comfortable. I mean some bosses you feel like you have to put on or "act" appropriately. This guy is down home country boy material. Lots of fun and easy going time. Then we headed out to my brothers. (he and I have an on again off again relationship) No matter what I love him to death. We are so different though. We finished cooking some of the sides, sat down and had a lovely feast. Ate until I thought I might throw up again... Sat down watched a movie... I mean it was really relaxed lots of fun and not much work. Of course I did a lot of work the day before. 6 ours of cooking to be exact but whose counting. Even better I didn't freak all day except when my husband got annoyed that "I had made us late". He is so time oriented. Whatever.I am thankful for Caleb and Rickie and my dog Brinx. I am thankful for my parents and brothers and sisters who have often carried me through. In the last year since I was diagnosed one year ago till now these people have been beside me learnign about this disorder and working our way through remedies as best as we can. I am so great ful for all they have given to me of themselves. I am also thankful to God. I'll tell you I spent most of this year pissed as Hell at God. I just couldn't believe that he would let this happen to me. It still upsets me to this day. However, my MOm's perspective is great. I have a rare opportunity to be the strong one and help others through this. I am unique adn I can let that be my weakness or I can use it to be my strength. (somedays it is both... ha) She is a great source of wisdom for me. So I'm thankful for God who created me strong enough to handle this disorder and still be enough to help someone else. For without Him I can do nothing. God Bless you all. I hope you read this and are happy.
