Well I went on vacation and had a wonderful time.  I really started getting very excited on Tuesday the 19th so I was in a better mood... smiley-laughing.gif  ON the 20th.. I was happy but very tired from traveling and anxious about seeing my family again.  Nothing like being 2-18 again.  They have this way of just reverting me to my childhood.  smiley-smile.gif  For the rest of the week I had a wonderful time.  I am now tan and so is my son. It was kind of hard seeing the family because my Dad is a bit of a rager and on the first or second day there he yelled at my 3 year old which put me on guard the rest of the vacation.  I think he (my dad) realized that I did not like how he was treating my son because he really quieted down.  I don't know I want them to know each other and Caleb is so innocent.  He just wants to play with his Pop-Pop, but my Dad is so unpredictable.  Caleb threw a nerf football at him in a sweet innocent way of requesting him to play and my Dad screamed at him.  Poor guy wouldn't come out of my room for an hour scared to death!... Later in the week Caleb was playing with a car on the coffee table and Dad told him not to because it might scratch the table and when Caleb did it again (you know they a re constantly testing us at 3) my Dad grabbed it and chucked it really hard into a nearby trashcan.  My Dad is an unmedicated undiagnosed Bipolar... Scary at the least and very unpredictable.  I had a hard time watching Caleb all by myself the week adn I realized how much my husband did and how much I need my time away from Caleb.  Over all the week was a smiley-smile.gif-smiley-undecided.gif-smiley-frown.gif.  No suicidal thoughts though, no deep depression and no out of control Mania... So kind of good you know!

The airplane ride was from Hell!  I wrote a letter to Southwest Airlines to complain... Take a look at it!  MAJOR MAJOR smiley-yell.gif

RE: Flight 2249 June 28th, 2007 Wednesday from Philadelphia to Nashville

To Whom It May Concern:

I was on flight 2249 on the above stated date along with my son and brother.  We were informed as we arrived that the flight was delayed one hour and we boarded the plane exactly one hour late at 6:15.  We traveled to the tarmac to sit for 2.5 hours without any water, or snack.  When asked for a glass of water for my son we were treated as an annoyance.  At around 2 hours the pilot came on to tell us we were number 51 for departure.  We should not have been boarded onto this flight if there was any knowledge regarding this many planes on the tarmac.  We were told to remain in our seats buckled in with our tray tables and seats in the upright and locked position.  At 3 hours I was absolutely faint from the smell of the sewage coming from the toilet and the fumes from the plane.  We were finally offered 2 oz of water and one tiny satchel of peanuts.  After another hour we were notified that we were second in line for departure.  It started storming and again we could not take off.  Then we ran out of fuel and the pilot took our plane back to the terminal to fuel up.  I could not believe this!  After 6 hours of waiting to take off we were headed back to the terminal.

At the terminal they intended on keeping us in the plane while they emptied the toilet and refueled.  In almost unison we requested permission to get off to get food and water.  Those of us who wanted food had to get permission to get off and get food, now it was midnight.  I was starving and dehydrated, my three year old was starving and dangerously dehydrated, and I’m sure much of the plane was thirsty and starving as well.

During this the staff hid in the back avoiding any contact at all with the passengers.  Many of us were frustrated and they could have made this situation more tolerable.  Sodas for, and peanuts along with a friendly smile and attentive staff, would have really made a difference.  So with snack we re-board and wait in the departure line 1.5 hours.  We finally took off from Philly 8.5 hours late!

There should have been water. I had requested at least 5 times during all of this!  This was really a loss on South West Airlines.  Your impeccable record of service and care of the customer has been lost to me my family and any one I might ever come in contact with regarding your airline.  I want my entire flight refunded! Or a voucher should be sent to me towards my next trip.  There should be a letter apologizing and a refund for the $20 I had to spend on 3 tiny yogurts 2 sodas and 1 milk I had to buy at that dingy corner store that was open at midnight.  I would also like to see a link or email address where these complaints can be lodged on your website.  We are in the age of technology.  What a disappointment that there is no way to communicate with your airline online.

Sincerely Yours,

Jennifer and Caleb XXXXXX
