Still sober.. Its been quite a challenge but a good one. I think what I miss the most is the small home town bar I use to stop into when I was headed home after work.. It is called the La Sabre also known as the La Slober..lol.. Cute little quaint bar and it has been there for years. My friend Maverick owns it and he tells me stories how my grandmother use to come in there when he was just a boy. He told me that she was the most beautiful woman in the valley and he always had a crush on her. My grandmother died last year at 94 and she was still beautiful.Anyway, I loved going in there especially when I was really depressed because I was kinda like Norm on Cheers in this bar.. I would walk in the door and all my friends and the bartender (as I was a good tipper and bought lots of drinks, lol) would call out my name.. Y'Vonne. Most of these people knew each other and would come over and give me hugs one at a time. I always felt so loved and missed if they hadnt seen me for awhile. I was always the jokester after a couple of drinks so it wouldnt take long before they would be sitting on the bar stools next to me to hear the latest stuff that would pop out of my mouth.. No matter how depressed I was the drink and the friends would always make it worth stopping in for. I never stayed real long unless once in awhile I would stop in on a Friday or Saturday and then I would stay till closing and find a ride home.. I miss this bar and my friends but it is something that I need to stay away from until I can handle myself.. This is my story and Im sticking to it.. Y'Vonne

oh & one more thing about the Corkroom; whenever they had live bands me & my gal-pal use to jump up on stage & she would sing with the band & I would play tambourine....man o man, we were quite a scene! Nobody seemed to mind though. It was one of those places where everyone knew us & we always livened up the joint & u could get away with just about everything there & nobody gave a flying fig! (Now I play tambourine at home when Im not playing on my stripper pole....hehehe) HEY! A girl\'s still gotta have fun, right!?
Y\'Vonne. I would ask how you are doing but it looks like you are doing Terrrrific! My girl, I am so proud of you. A big bear hug to ya.
U am feeling pretty good painwise. I am looking for my energy tho. Don\'t know where it went to. Will check under the bed. Luv ya, sue
YVONNE!!!!!!!!! There! This isn\'t La Sabre or Cheers, but everyone knows your name. When you know you\'re strong enough, you can go back and have a soda with your buds. You are still funny even though you\'re not drinking; don\'t think for a minute you\'re not! Big hugs and a \"high-five\" for you. I\'m so proud of you!
well done!!!
