Living here in Utah, when it dumps snow it dumps it hard and cold and it freezes. On my way to work today, on the freeway a your oriental kid had slid off the side of the road trying to avoid a car that was just parked off the shoulder. He over corrected and ended up sliding off the hillside. No one stopped to help. Not nobody. I pulled over in my big yellow Dodge truck ( just had to add that in cause I love my truck) knowing I would not be of much help but to see if he needed to use my cell phone. He was trying to dig his old car out but there was way to much snow and mud. To the rescue comes a car full of Mexican workers, four of them. They jump out of there car and run down the embankment and tried to push him out while I was guiding him on which way to turn his tires (like I know anything). He was so stuck. Then another car full of mexican workers stopped (four of them) and they ran down and started digging him out and trying to push him up the hill to no avail. By then the freeway nazi came and told us that traffic was being held up and the only way he was going to be able to get the car out was by tow truck. The young man named Eric told him there was no way he could pay for a tow truck. The nazi told me pretty much to get my ass back on the road. At this time the young man began to sob just a little though as I know he was full of pride. I walked back down to him as I just happened to have a hundred dollar bill in my pocket. I tried to hand it to him to pay for the tow truck and then the tears came streaming down his cheeks. He told me know way could he except this and at that time another car full of mexican workers (three this time) jumped out of their car and proceded down the hill side to help. The nazi gave them one more try to push him out and pretty much told me to get my ass on the road, I know this is his job but he was quite an arogant bastard. I headed back up the hillside got in my truck but did not leave. I watched as all these gentlemen and let me repeat gentlemen tried their hardest to help this poor fellow but they just got him stuck in deeper. I got back out of my truck, went down the embankment and grabbed Eric by the arm. I told him to look at me as I held on to his arm with one hand and held my hundred in the other. I said, "do you know what it means to pay it forward?" He told me he did and I handed him my hundred and said "here take this as you can use it more then me but just remember these people that came to help you and what I have done and make sure when you see someone in need that you do the best you can to help them. He gave me a big hug sobbing and held me for a few seconds thanking me. I went back to my truck and had this wonderful feeling of happiness. Now to finish the rest of this story. I got back to my truck and tried to get back onto the freeway. You think one son of a bitch would let me in? It wasnt like the traffic was moving fast it was backed up but not one person would stop to let me in. I waited for over ten minutes before one car stopped and let me in so I could get on my way. Freakin Utah drivers. Well made it to work and I was so happy with myself. I felt so good. I am by no means rich but I have gotten a small inheritance from my ex husband. My children are well taken care of and have never gone without. Expecially the older one that I work for. I was so happy with myself and my feelings. When I came in the door my son Ryan asked me what took me so long so I told him the story. He freaked out on me. You gave a stranger money? If the kid hadnt been driving like an idiot he wouldnt be in that kind of mess. Are you fucking nuts or what? His girlfriend Milly stood up for me and said if she was stranded she would hope someone could help her. My son was so pissed at me and made me cry. I couldnt quit crying for about 15 minutes. Oh well, I did what I felt was right and was real happy, atleast till I got to work.. If anybody reads this can you tell me what you think?

I shed a tear over this one. You rock my friend and I am honored to call you that. Pay it forward is the best thing you can do for your karma and man kind.

Your son needs a lesson of the heart. His Mother is a wonderful influence and maybe one day he will be able to see that. We have no problem in seeing the goodness of your \"paying it forward\".
What a wonderful thing you did...it sure as hell should make you feel good about yourself! Such a shame more people in the world couldnt think or act the way you did today. Im proud of you! x
I DON\'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT YOU EXCEPT FOR WHAT LESLEE TOLD ME AND IT WOULD BE AN HONOR TO BE YOUR FRIEND. THE STORY YOU TOLD IN YOUR JOURNAL HAS TOUCHED EVERYONE HERE. TO PAY IT FORWARD IS A BLESSING. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT YOU HAVE.
MAY THE LORD BESS AND KEEP YOU,
MAY HIS FACE SHINE UPON YOU, AND MAY HE GIVE YOU PEACE....IN HIS HOLY NAME.....HELEN
you sound like a beautiful person my friend x
you were wrong, you are the richest person i know
You did the right thing! Don\'t you ever doubt that! So, paying it forward works and it will work for you too!
Love ya!Morus
You have nothing to feel bad about and you also risked your life stopping in a snow storm like that. We have had our share of snow here in Utah and I hate the way people drive here. It usually takes 6 storms for people to remember how to drive. I have had similar experiences with people and if they don\'t understand the Pay it Forward concept, they just don\'t get it.
I think we will definitely have a white Christmas this year!
For what it is worth you did the right thing by that youngster and good on ya Girl!!! Am sorry that your son put such a dampner on your good deed, but you find in this world that the ppl with the most, give the least, that\'s how they got the most in the first place!!LOL!! Don\'t mean to be harsh regarding your son, Poppet, but there you had car loads of men trying to help, you trying to help and a fecking nazi pushing his weight around and being a pain in the ass. No manners from other drivers and certainly no manners from your son!! How dare he speak to you like that?? You may work for him, but you are still his Mom!! Don\'t think Santa should visit that nasty boy this Christmas, for sure!!! Grrrrr!!! He should apologise to you unreservedly and ask for your forgiveness.
Well if these responses don\'t tell you what an absolute awsome start you are!!!! What an absolute gorgeous girl, you helped me to put my faith back in to humanity honey. ((((BIG HUGS)))) x
Star you are that should say by the way!!!!
