30 years since I lived alone & now without Smokey

It's been 30 years since I lived alone and now without my Smokey no wonder I am taking it so very hard.  In 1980, I lived with my ex-husband and then we got married for 16 1/2 years, left him & lived with Carol Wolbers in 1998, met Smokey in 1999 moved in with him in 2000.  I slowly am trying to figure out things in my life and why it is hitting me so hard to live alone.  Thirty years is a long time before I am living alone again.  For some other people on this website it is much longer before they were forced into widowhood or widowerhood.  It is hard when you are used to being with someone and they are abruptly taken out of your life.  It is not a very easy adjustment.  Wow!  What an eye opener for me.  Take care everyone.
