3\'s

   I think it is an old wives tale but Jews believe that bad things happen in three's.  A friend of mine had a heart attack last Sunday, Steve got put in a home and I just found out a friend who had two inoperable aneurysm's died.  I really liked this lady as she refused to live as though she had two inoperable aneurysm's.  People do not realize that our society stresses length of life but once the quality is gone who cares for the quantity?  Assisted suicide is outlawed but who wants to go on living once the quality is shattered.  I am not talking about surviving an operation only to choose suicide after you have survived.  I am talking about how much quality you judge your life to have a year or so after the incident.  In my case I was put in a home and told to get used to it.  Sure they they said it differently but that is what they meant.  It was my fear of sitting in a home and waiting to die that motivated me to get moving but they had no idea I had it in me.  Hell, I had no idea I had it in me!!!  Life is precious but so is quality.  Shouldn't we redefine what we mean by life?  Doctors already do it but it is not spoken about.  Shouldn't we have a right to how we live our lives.  The founding Fathers said that we are guarenteed certain rights, if those rights are taken away shouldn't we have right to end our own torment in a honorable fashion?  The Swedes do??? What does everyone else think??? E
