Well, I had a feeling 2014 was gonna suck. Don't know why...just a feeling. And it does. In January I was transferred to a different dept on campus, leaving my friends, my support group, behind. Now, I work with a bunch of men. Nothing against them. They are great, but...
You know I lost my mom in 2009 and my dad went in to dementia at the same time. He died January 2013. Lost my marriage the end of 2011. When I moved out I couldnt take all the pets with me. My cats had died recently, so I took one dog and he kept the other three. One of them died last year. But I had my dog.
After being in this apt 2 years, got a note the other day from the office that my dog's barking was disturbing others. Yes, she barks a lot. They suggested getting something. blah blah blah..Well, I've been through this scenario before with a Scottish terrier I had. None of those things worked.
I was already tremendously depressed and have been for awhile. Called my ex and he said he would take her. She is better off over there anyway with the other dogs and a yard to play in. She will be fine. Took her over yesterday. Checked in on her today and he said she did great-which I knew she would.
I know I did the right thing for her. But, she's all I had left.
