Feeling blech...sigh. Have been dating a little here and there, but never works out. Worse, they just disappear and don't even want to be friends and chat online or something. So tired of the rejection. And so lonely for male companionship. Have female friends, but it's just not the same. I miss the companionship of even just watching TV together, holding hands, or going to the grocery store. So tired of being alone and doing everything alone. Self confidence is taking a beating and I never had that much to start with. All the other areas of my life seem fine right now. I wonder if it's even possible to have all areas of my life on track at the same time or if there always has to be one area that sucks. feeling very unloved and unwanted right now. yep having a pity party tonight.

I am sorry :( I know what you mean about missing companionship. (not trying to make this about me...just trying to relate) My wife has already started dating so I have been missing her for a while now, even though we live together. I am scared to death to get back in the saddle and start dating again so give yourself that at least. You are brave and confident enough to at least try. Take the little victories as they come. Start taking care of yourself in special ways. Love yourself and you will find love...boy...that sounded good. I hope I can do that soon...lol. Look, if you want to chat online, I could always use another friend. I didn\'t come to this site to date but I think from now on in my life, I am going to look for friends first. Well, let me know and I will give you my contact info. Smile knowing that I do care...
I\'m 17 months into this and still can\'t imagine dating. I am working on my self esteem which has always been non existent.
Be good to yourself.
I\'m five years post divorce and I find staying really busy helps a lot. I\'m not dating, I don\'t have the time.
But someitmes (not often) I do miss having someone else in the house at the end of the day. Have you tried meet up groups? There aren\'t any in my area but I\'ve heard they are a good way to meet people and make friends. I wish you luck on the dating.
Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. Sure Blue. Can always use another online friend. I think I\'m in a hurry because SHE will be moving here in a few months and then I will probably run in to them all over town. On the plus side, the money for my new hearing aids came in way earlier than i expected. As soon as I get the new ones I plan to go back to church like I need to. Also, it looks like I am being pulled in to volunteer with an animal rescue place here. Against my will, because I know i will want to adopt all of them. I told the lady there are days when I just need to come over and lay down in the puppy pin so I can get tons of puppy love! I need to build up my life and fill the holes left by the divorce and the loss of my dad. thanks.Ya\'ll have a good day. (jaclyn1973@yahoo.com)
Trisha-I live in a very rural area, so not alot of anything going on. I\'m planning to get back in to church-which used to be so very important to me. Also I might get involved with the animal rescue people here and thinking of getting back in to a bowling league. Just a matter of pushing myself out of my cave and making myself. Just miss the companionship-the little things, you know? But i have to remind myself it has not been all that long and that I need to do some work on myself right now. My dad died 2 months ago and that has left another hole in my life, so I need to fill up that hole and the time i spent with him. So much loss in my life the laet 3 years. I\'m getting there. thanks!
Jaclyn you never know the blessings that could come out of the volunteering at the animal rescue place and going back to church.
A really good friend of mine who was widowed 20 years ago and had given up on the hope and desire for a man in her life because of many disappointments etc. She is a retired nurse who has been doing a lot of home care and child care jobs to fill in the gaps in her life and give her a little additional income.
Anyway to cut a long story short, in January she was asked if she could go down to Florida to check up on someone\'s elderly father who had just come out of hospital after a really serious near death illness. She was reluctant to go, but did say she would do it for 2 weeks just to get him properly organised with home care and help etc. Well I am now visiting her in the really beautiful little coastal town where she will be living for the next who knows how many years. She has developed a wonderful bond with the man and she now has a wonderfully different new life in such a beautiful place. Just this morning I reminded her of her reluctance to come down here in January and look at the blessings she would have missed out on if she hadn\'t taken that chance that God was nudging her to take.
So we should never overlook these opportunities for hidden blessings.
LOL-thanks. I usually don\'t feel this way...just down right now.It will pass.
