Gratitude...
After 3 long years, I can finally say that I am grateful for having my late husband in my life. I still find little treasures to help me on this journey that I call life. I have purpose and passion. I laugh and enjoy. I can relax and know that I am safe in Christ!
Palm Sunday, 3 years ago, he passed. I made an association to Christ's death and resurrection because it was Palm Sunday. Everything I've ever thought I knew about God has been debunked through my faith and prayer life. I didn't expect my late husband to come up out of the ground like Christ, but instead, anticipated something great to come. The following Sunday, I attended the Easter service. My heart broken, but my faith strong. Still turning to God blindly. (Isn't that what faith is?)
There were tears that day. Lots of tears. And I didn't have the ability to appreciate what I had, yet. That's a big yet. With all good things, comes investment. What I thought was loss was actually gain. I can look back now and see endurance, patience, selflessness, and a life well lived. He left treasures behind to remind me to keep going, never give up, keep living, keep loving and growing, laughing and crying.
Today is Palm Sunday. My savior was placed in a tomb and the world thought He was dead. Nobody realized that in 3 days, He would return and bring salvation with Him! Peace, love, hope. I don't know what tomorrow brings but I trust my God to guide me and keep me in His grace!
Happy Palm Sunday!

Happy Palm Sunday to you and wishing you a fond Easter. Sharon
Wonderfully said Mel40. We were lucky to have wonderful spouses in our lives to have taught us many things. I had mine 52 years and you weren\'t so lucky but I was blessed by God to have had a good and spirit filled marriage. Happy Easter to all.
