Checking in...

I made it through my 2nd Moms day without my Gregor…  Wonderful church service, lot's of HUGS and shed a few tears.  My wonderful Husband went with me, you see he's a Christian but also says he's Baptist and I go to a Lutheran church, but he knew it was going to be a tough day for me, so he held my hand and even liked my Pastor and loved the music.  He says he's use to a blue varied lady playing an organ and you sing from a Hymn book.  Anyways, he's going to start going with me, yea, no more separate services.  :)

Sorry I'm not on much, but I am on FACEBOOK every day and check in on 'us' Moms.

Hope you all made it through yesterday as best you could, but I knew my son was with me.

Had a good afternoon too,, stopped by to see my Mom and only stayed a couple of hours.  (I was there for 5 hours Friday, all day Saturday…  I would stay longer but she smokes, and I do not, allergic…)

Then just started making some Quilling stuff, lite dinner, but then it HIT me, Wes went to sleep, I couldn't sleep, started crying and crying…  Got up, got out Gregor's little outfit he wore home from the hospital, over 33 years ago…  Finally fell asleep with it on my pillow...
But I can say I'm OK, yes it still sucks, but I am learning what my life is like without my son...

Again HUGS to all the Moms...

Gregor's Mum, Julie

Thanks Lauri, I know it was weird, but I loved my church and he liked his I\'m glad we could agree. My pastor also leads our Grief group, I love the music, I\'m lucky my husband tried it. I even went to Lutheran school :)

I am glad the day was as gentle as it was. Tears are okay...we can go there when we need to...the good news is that as you live with this longer...you don\'t stay in those moments as long. Gentle hugs...Karen

It feels as if the day unfolded just as it needed to. Sometimes just free falling into these days can be the best and other times having a plan can be. Such is the wild wave each of us rides to find the lulls and pauses in the midst.

Envisioning you falling asleep with that little newborn outfit of Gregor\'s on your pillow dear Julie...

Lots of love and so much understanding,
XO Joanie
