Thankful

Today I will not gamble. Today instead of gambling, I will quietly listen to all the things that my God has allowed me to see, touch, hear and smell. I woke up this morning to hear the birds singing. I looked outside at all the flowers and trees that have bloomed. I feel the breeze on my face and smell the flowers and the crisp Spring air. The bees are busy making nectar, the hummingbirds just arrived from their long journey to Mexico. I am thankful to be here enjoying all of these things.
In a way we as gamblers, are kind of like the trees and flowers, in that when we gambling we are in a kind of hibernation from our lives. But then when we decide to finally stop, then our lives begin thriving again.
 
I'm glad to be here today and still gamble free!
