HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Popping in to wish for my DS friends the healthiest, happiest, most fulfilling year you have ever had.
I crashed over the weekend, complete with the wild mood swings, frustration and self pity.   In the last 6 months I have had 1 major crash lasting 1 month, contracted a viral infection that had me walking crooked for 3 months (it recurs so am walking crooked now), picked up another infection that had me flat for a week and had a couple of 1-2 day crashes.  The pain in my side/leg has worsened and I am now waking with my leg and both hands numb.
Yet I wake every morning with gratitude in my heart because I am doing so much better than I was a year ago.  I am determined not to be ill this year.  Doesn't matter whether the body cooperates, in my heart and in my head I will not be a sick person!  I am grateful for every day that I can get out of bed, ecstatic when I can do things like wearing high heels (did that last week, you should have seen me..no super model could compare), thrilled to be able to run to the store or get my hair done (boy should have told you about the DISASTROUS Christmas hairdo .. or rather hair DON'T).
My lesson learned in 2014 is this .. doesn't matter if life is better today than it was yesterday, grace is about taking what life throws at you and making the best of it.  In your own way, at your own pace, paint your own picture.
So, my DS friends, gotta dash (ok..walk slowly and rather crooked).  Don't forget you are so brave, you have inspired me so much, don't ever give up hoping, praying and living for a brighter tomorrow.

Well you just rock sweet Jamaican girl.Loved the super positive journal.I pray it is contagious.I desperately need to get my head into gear.I especially love the second last paragraph.I will write it down and stick it on my fridge.Sorry to hear about your Infection and bodily struggles but so happy to see such willpower.I have to tell you...a couple of weeks ago, I was working in my shop and we had a big group of Jamaican female tourists. They were so open and warm and purchased clothing from our shop.Anyway their tour guide who was American, was tearing her hair out because she couldn\'t control them. They were spontaneously darting off all over the place and she couldn\'t keep track of them. She confided in me and said they were the hardest group she had ever dealt with ..Too free spirited and just did whatever they felt like.I had a little chuckle.Take care love to you Max.xoxo

Hi, Max!!! It\'s so good to finally hear something from you!
I know you\'ve had a rough few months, and I\'m glad to hear you are getting better. Some days, I lean to the left when I walk. If you lean right, maybe we can prop one another up!!!
Hey, how\'s you son doing???
