Day 25

Had a coffee meet with someone I met online. No spark or chemistry and he is not over his ex, I am not over mine, so a bit of an anticlimax.
Then I got chatting with someone else and for a while the conversation was a lot of fun. I asked for and received details of who he was pretty much straight away. He even added me on LinkedIn. Exchanged mobile numbers and arranged to meet next week. He suggested getting on skype and I did a little while ago. Then the conversation gets sexual and I try to joke about it. Then he gets abusive. What a prick.....

Big learning experience and I am proud I held my own in both instances.

Good for you lucidak,
Keep listening to your instincts they will keep you safe. I\'ve been on those dating site in the past myself and have noticed there are a lot of men on there that are only looking for some sort of sex.

I met a lot of men like the last one you mentioned and I never took it serious, but as soon as I started asking them personal questions about themselves they would shut me out.
That\'s when I knew it was all a game for them and all they wanted was to get off.
I think it\'s hard to find a good man on those sites .
So just keep your radar up and stay safe.
Blessings my friend

Thank you angeldove
It was good see your comment last night when I woke up around 2am and couldn\'t go back to sleep. I am glad I have now figured out how to deal with people like that. In the past I thought I had to get everyone to like me, so I did things that I didn\'t like. Now I know when they get abusive at not getting their way, it is their problem, not mine. I probably shouldn\'t be dating so soon after breaking up with my boyfriend, but I have too much free time on my hands and not a lot of friends or family that I can spend it with. I need to go out and make new friends and hope when University starts I will meet new people.

I understand the loneliness and longing for a mans comfort.
I think with us wwltm we are so use to spending all of our attention on are mate that we end up losing part of our selves and that make it harder for us to be alone.

I know for my ex did such a number on my head with his mind f*cks that I don\'t even know how to start up just a friendship with another man.

I\'m sure when University starts you will have many opportunities to make new friendships, and Kudos to you for continuing to work on yourself .
Blessings
