Day 15

I survived the night. The funny thing is we had so little apart from regular texts, that I don't have the urge to pick up the phone and call him at night. Emails have been the main form of contact since we broke up and even that ended yesterday. We have finished all the logistical stuff and once he unsubscribes from the blog, I will have no more connection to him. And of course, he chose to reply to confirm he will be unsubscribing just now. Almost feels like he is trying to prolong contact. Well now he had no more reason to.
I am a strong woman and I will get through this. I know I deserve a man who will be as giving as I am, who loves me unconditionally, who is not afraid to tell me so and make me feel cared for, who is honest and has integrity, who understands and accepts I am not perfect. A warm human being.
I watched this talk one of my friends posted online about positive psychology. It talked about doing simple things like good sleep, exercise, gratitude and deep breathing.
So I want to write 5 things every night that I am grateful for.
1. That my son tidied up his Lego by himself
2. That the Tornado that tore through the Western Suburbs didn't hurt us.
3. That the cat is sitting beside me purring away, keeping me company.
4. That umbrellas were on special today when I really needed one.
5. That my friend Soloi visited.
