yesterday was veterns day but its being celebrated today. so i would like to tell you what happen to me on october the six 1969. i got discharge in bremerton washington and took the ferry to seattle washington i had gotten myself and apartment their and live there for one year. when i got to seattle i got caught up in a war protest parade i was spit on and called a baby killer. i was ashamed of what i had done and couldn't get out of my uniform fast enough. today i him proud of my service to my country. even thou we had no business being in vietnam. i know other vietnam veterns where treated like me. i think god that todays veterns are not treated like that. this pray for all the find man and woman seriving are country. i love all my brothers and sisters who have fought for this country. i hope the six veterns that are still alive from world war one have a nice veterns day and many more. its amazing the youngest world war one vetern is one hundred six. i got this information from an artical in the desmoines register. a newpaper hear in desmoines iowa. printed sometime this summer.

Like you, our Vietnam Vets were so mistreated upon return from the war. None deserved it; that should have been reserved for the politicians that put us there in the first place, from Kennedy thru Nixon. And I LOVED J.Kennedy! But he was way wrong about advisors in Vietnam. Much as I hate our engagements in iraq and Afganistan and elsewhere in the world, I hold no ill will for the soldiers. They are doing a job. Again, our nation\'s leadership has led us so far astray in the world. So much of what\'s wrong today can be laid at the feet of the politicos in Washington. Blessed be. Trish

My BF served in the Marines in \'Nam. When he got home, his own sister called him a baby killer. Whatever your feelings about what the government decides, the soldiers who serve are never the ones who should be blamed; they are only following orders. I salute you for your bravery.
