yesterday was veterns day but its being celebrated today. so i would like to tell you what happen to me on october the six 1969. i got discharge in bremerton washington and took the ferry to seattle washington i had gotten myself and apartment their and live there for one year. when i got to seattle i got caught up in a war protest parade i was spit on and called a baby killer. i was ashamed of what i had done and couldn't get out of my uniform fast enough. today i him proud of my service to my country. even thou we had no business being in vietnam. i know other vietnam veterns where treated like me. i think god that todays veterns are not treated like that. this pray for all the find man and woman seriving are country. i love all my brothers and sisters who have fought for this country. i hope the six veterns that are still alive from world war one have a nice veterns day and many more. its amazing the youngest world war one vetern is one hundred six. i got this information from an artical in the desmoines register. a newpaper hear in desmoines iowa. printed sometime this summer.

I thank you and all of our veterans for your service. Vietnam vets weren\'t treated well after returning home and it\'s awful what happened to many of you. I\'m glad you\'ve resolved to feel proud as you were serving our country, and not running as some did. I always thank every person in Uniform I meet and I thank and honor you.

106 is a very respectable age ! War should never happen --- it does not help spitting on the soldiers....they are just doing the groundwork for someone else agenda.

My oldest brother went through the same thing when he came home from Vietnam in 1969, it was really tough for him also. Even though there was a lot of negative flack regarding that war, I have a great deal of respect for the men that served in Vietnam.

What adds to the shame of our nation in the way some treated yall so badly when you came home, is the fact a lot of boys sent over there were drafted, had no choice of service like they do today. Blessings to you, hugs!

YES THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY HUSBAND IN OAKLAND.. HE CHANGED OUT OF HIS UNIFORM IN A TAXI.. I WAS AGENST THE WAR AND I PROTESTED IT .. BUT I NEVER PROTESTED IT IN THAT KIND OF A MANNER.. I DID JUST AS I AM DOING NOW.. I WROTE CIONGRESS AND MY SENATORS AND ASKED THEM TO END THE WAR.. I AM PROUD OF MY HUSBAND.. LETS HOPE THE KIDS COMING HOME WILL NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT YOU AND MY HUSBAND WENT THROUGH.. BUSH IS AN IDIOT...HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER ..SOON....LOVE D
