I will keep everyone in my prayers. My father came back pretty messed up. I never really had the opportunity to know him then but in later years he talked to me some. I will always value the time we had together. You will be in my prayers too! Jet
Yes I will pray for your friend too...My Dad served in the second world war..His ship was torpedoed and sunk at sea..He was among the few survivours...He rarely ever spoke about the war but I know he needed physchiatric care on his return home..He saw some bad things..
U are a very good man..I hope that your country is taking care of u and all the other brave Vets..Take care dear friend..
Jesus, mighty and powerful healer, One who sees all pains, and weeps when our sorrows reach deep inside Your heart. Have mercy and grace upon Vietnam2nd and his dear friend who is hooked on drugs. Jesus, you see deep inside his breaking heart. PLEASE pour out your love upon him, highlighting the true reason for his drug addiction, and then heal completely that which is shredding his insides from health. We love you and completely trust you, Daddy. Bring what is done in heaven on earth. Healing is Heaven...touch this precious vet. Wholeness is in Heaven...breathe this deeply into his inner man. Love is alive and is the essence of Heaven...flow this through him as a river runs...we ask you Lord, to heal our precious hero of satan\'s doing. In Jesus name, Amen
I know that too many of our vets have succumbed to the demons of alcohol and drugs. Many became addicited while serving our nation. I will keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers. You are so right that there is nothing else to be done for him until he chooses sobriety. Glad to hear you are doing better w/your ulcer, too! Hugs, Trish
Sounds like you are getting a little better. Maybe they will find the right drugs and you will get better. I had a brother that went to Vietman and my partner went to Vietman also, seems my brother is dealing with it alright he keeps his self always busy. My partner he is bioplar and he had to deal with alot. Hey, my dad was from Des Moines, IA, and he served in World War II and the Korean War. Dad died in 1985. Sure do miss him. I will keep your friend in my prayers and also you. Hope you have a wonderful evening and a better tomorrow. Rachel
I will think of your friend, I have seen many people use alcohol or drugs to numb combat... destroyed them even more than the combat would have.

I will be praying for your friend. I am glad you had a good time with your buddies. Enjoy the apple cake. Make sure you don\'t eat to much you don\'t want it to affect your sugar.
Love, April
Nice to see you are getting out and doing things... massage therapy, going out for lunch with others in your group. Very good. Not healthy to stay inside all the time.
You should maybe spend some time on the internet trying to find recipes that are ulcer friendly that appeal to you. It is important to eat healthy. Try some foods from other countries to make cooking and eating a little more interesting. I joined the Healthy Eating Community here at Daily Strength. Might be a good community for you to join also?
Hi....you don\'t know me, but I just happened to come across your profile. I\'m from the Vietnam days too, but luckily, I was about a year too young to get drafted. A lot of my friends went though. Most never came back. The one\'s that did come back were not the same guys I knew before they went.
I salute you and thank you for your service to our country.
May God look over you and all those who keep our country safe.
Joey

I am sorry to hear about your ulcer. I hope the diet change helps. I have ulcerative colitis so I know how miserable you must be.
