This and That

So we did the Walk & Run for Life for the Kidney Foundation on Sunday.  Ugh.  First off, Joey decides we should watch a movie Saturday night, makes for a late bedtime.  So I've got my alarm set for 730am, but I was so tired I hit snooze until 810am.  We had to be at the meeting place between 9 and 930.  So I get out of bed, and tell Joey he has to get up, we are running behind.  He doesn't move(of course) so I have to get Marlow up, fed, get the dogs out for a pee and a bit of exercise before they get kenneled(plus, we have a puppy that we got as a stud fee, and I'm trying to house break him for his new owners), then I had to pack all we needed.  And get myself ready.  Joey drags himself out of bed and into the garage at 9am.  Marlow and I are already waiting for him.  I tell him he has to load the stroller, but then he says shit, he forgot to look at the flat tire on the stroller like he promised me he HAD.  So he loads it, we have a portable pump, and says he will fill the tire at the event.  Get to the event, try and fill the tire, and it has a hole and won't hold air.
So Marlow is owly at being woken up early, and refuses to walk.  So Joey and I have to take turns carrying her, we walked just over 3 km.  He's cranky, because I'm a little upset.  I wasn't really as mad as I thought I should of been.  It was a nice day, and the walk is in a really pretty area.  In the end he buggered off to talk to other transplant people, and I got stuck in a corner of the YMCA gym with a screaming kid who kept hitting me in the face and pulling my hair.  So I had planned to invite the other member of our team over for a bbq for supper.  Give us all time to rest, and Joey knew this, and he comes over and tells me all his family and our team mate are coming for lunch.  I was upset, but tried to hide it.  Not well I guess, because he told me I should get over being cranky.  So I got mad, told him he had done jack squat all day.  He saddled me with Marlow because she was cranky, if she hadn't been he would of been showing her off!
Lunch was okay though.  And we raised $1500 between the three of us.  That was a pretty good amount.
Then the dogs escaped the yard this morning.  I HATE chainlink, but we can't afford to replace it yet.  And if I had bigger dogs, it wouldn't be an issue.  So one sneaks back in the yard while I'm out looking, but I had to chase down the other one.  Not happy.
Also, I'm starting to wonder how much yogurt is too much yogurt for Marlow?  She eats yogurt at least once a day, if not twice.  If she had a choice 'ogurt' would be the only thing she ate!  She is starting to refuse fruits and veggies.  I swear, if we eat cheese perogies one more time I'm going to go loco!! :)
And we have been saving to go on a vacation this summer.  Then almost 1000 in unexpected bills popped up.  It basically depletes our vacation fund.  So we may not be able to go anywhere.  And I could use a vacation. lol
And when I go to work today, I'm sure I'm in for a reaming.  I think I messed up on my last shift, and it wasn't on purpose.  I was doing something nobody taught me to do, and I was attempting to follow these written directions that were all over the place.  And that means I may have to pay for someones gas.  Like we can afford that either!  Plus, work has been dumb.  Sometimes I wonder if I worked with men if it would have less drama?  Or do men have work drama too?
Marlow must be going through a brutal cranky stage, because she's cranky almost all day, every day lately.  I don't know what it is.  Part of it may be the dang birds that wake her up at 7am everyday, and she want's to sleep longer.  And the fact that naps are still a battle.  Plus, she has started refusing healthy foods, and her body isn't used to so much processed stuff.  And she just got over being sick.  But I want my smiley baby back!
The other day she got to touch a wild rabbit.  I washed the crap out of her hands when we got home(it was a block from our house) but it was cool.  She just reached out and touched him while I was looking at something, and the rabbit didn't run away.  She also pet a deer this winter.  We were leaving the house and I turned to lock the door and she headed to the garage, normal, but then a deer stepped out and I almost had a heart attack.  Deer can be really mean for those who don't have deer experience.  They kill more people where I live then any other animal.  But Marlow just reaches up and pets it and it lets her.  Then I go rushing(in slow motion lol so as not to startle the deer) to get her and it looks at me, turns, and just walks off.  It's strange.  She almost got ahold of a robin this week too!  I thought it would fly off, when it didn't, I scared it off.  She loves animals, and in general, they seem to love her too.
