When my mother moved she lost a very important box to her.  It contained all of the handmade Christmas decorations from her children over the years.  She was quite devestated. To try and make her feel better, I devised a plan.  I bought pipe cleaners, construction paper, puff balls, googlie eyes, white glue, and all the children's craft supplies I could think of.I told my sibs what day and what time to be at my place well in advance because we were gonna make some Chrismas decorations for mom.  Only two of the three showed up, June, of course was the no-show.So we spend a few hours making these decorations, that even though we range from 20 to 30, look like they are made by five year olds. And I call mum, and ask her to swing by the next time she is out and about because we have a suprise for her.  One night she comes over, and she's toting June with her.  Dum dee duuuuuummmmm.Well, mum was suprised and when she asked if all of us had done some, June jumped right in.  She claimed that I picked a day to do it that her boyfriend was down, and I did that on purpose so that she couldn't participate.  I told her the day at least a week before I even knew he was coming.  She also accussed me of trying to take mum away from her.In the end, mum ended up agreeing to buy June some supplies so she could make some crafts.  Talk about taking the sparkle out of a happy moment.  And to make it an even better kick in the teeth, my mother just got engaged...it should be her time to shine, but when June found out........she went and told her boyfriend that he had a week to get her a ring and porpose because her mother was engaged and she wanted to be too!So know June is going to be 'married' and my mums thunder has been stolen!
