If I remain true to myself, I won't get what I'm looking for (on the sexual issue).
Can you refute that statement?

Hey D, that is a wonderful question to ask. I have asked myself that and continue to ask myself that. I am beginning to believe that that statement and others similar to it (as i have asked of myself) are a bit contradicitory and a bit truth. We are human and can only expect that both of us in our given situations would be seeking what we are sexually, yet neither of us want to compromise \"remaining true to ourselves\". Is that so hard to believe? We have a set of morals and we want all the things anyone else wants in a relationship, but our deep desire for that which we have either not had or had in a fleeting moment is heavily clouding our happiness in this world. I want to let go of the immense desire of wanting the sexual experiences I desire or to not focus on them so much in the hopes that I can find a meaningful relationship and someone I can spend the rest of my life with. I know and you know that the sexual issues at hand will not truly satisfy that which we seek; but I keep thinking...if only we could stop yearning so much for the sexual things just for a moment and would be willing to sacrifice a little longer, would we find what we actually seek? I think we would, but the problem is easier said than done. I can not seem to stop seeking it myself and in ways that are probably damaging to myself. I want to cry as I write this because I dont think any other two people in the world could suffer so immensly and appear to be \"just fine\' to others and yet what is standing in our way? We both have thought it and you have said it. It is ourselves. I don\'t know how to tell you to start to try to ask of yourself and myself to sacrifice anymore when we both have done so for so long, but what is it that we really want? What is it that we really seek? Companionship for one. We are both so tired of being lonely and the odd one out and not having anyone to share our lives with. Love, because we have given so much of ourselves and in return have received so little. Sex, because we know that we are human and have physical needs yet I think with both of us we want the kind of sex that can only come from true love. Why can\'t we find it? Why can\'t we be more patient? Because we want it so very badly. I wish that there was not so much distance between us. I wish that when we feel as we do, we could just meet somewhere and talk it out. I wish I could cry with you. I wish I could comfort you as you have comforted me. I wish we were not so sad.
