Things in 2008 I'm grateful for: When I didn't have any place to live, acquaintances from my religious/social community housed me. When that time ran out, I had the resources to stay in a bed-and-breakfast for a little while. When I moved into my own place again, it wound up being better than I expected. I gained confidence. I had good relationships with bosses. Words and actions of mine touched at least one person. I found some camaraderie.I had enough to eat.I always had a roof over my head. I had excellent physical health. I had resources to turn to for medical challenges. I got to do a lot of something I really enjoyed. I was published. I got to travel.  I was offered help by people more established in my field than I. I stood up for myself. (I need to do more of that, though.) There were family members that loved me. I was offered friendship. At least one person reached out to me who didn't have to. Although I didn't always feel it..... I was alive. May G-d be praised.
