Hm?
Is the country really ready for a serious discussion about mental illness as the mother in this piece says: http://now.msn.com/i-am-adam-lanzas-mother-says-mom-of-mentally-ill-son? I don't know. Would the American people come together in a compationate way or start witch hunts? Would mental illness take a step forward, or backwards, if we did have the courage to start the conversation? Will the case in France (http://www.dnaindia.com/world/report_french-psychiatrist-gets-year-in-jail-after-patient-kills-80-year-old_1779152) really move psychatric treatment forward? I highly doubt it. No matter how much I want to hope, it seems like sand receeding away with the tide.
