While watching my favorite (one of them anyway) person on TV-I realized that my problems in my relationship has nothing to do with him. It has everything to do with me and why do I feel the need to have someone treat me the way they do? What is so wrong with me that I feel I deserve to be treated in a manner that with any one else I would think unacceptable? Hell if I know.....I think I might need deep psycological (I know I misspelled it but it is to late at night to look it up in my online dictionary) help.

Were you abused in any way as a child or every treated badly as a child? If so, these events often make us feel that we do not deserve better. The key is to work on you and stop worrying about him. You can\'t make him change, but you can change you and the way you react. Start telling yourself that you deserve better. Even if you don\'t believe it completely at first, just keep saying it to yourself several times a day. Eventually you will start to feel like you genuinely deserve to be treated better. Once you believe, you can then confront him and say, \"You treat me like ____ and I am not going to take it anymore. This is your chance to change the way you treat me. But if you don\'t start treating me better by ____, I will be leaving (or kicking you out - whichever applies to you). But once you make that threat, you\'d better be ready to follow through or it won\'t work. Hugs, Fern
i think you are suffering from low self esteem , i think thats why you take all the abuse ,you think you will never find anyone to treat you better .melissa every one of us can look in the mirrow and see so many things that we think is wrong , sometimes when i look in the mirrow i wonder why it don\'t crack . there is nothing wrong with the way you look , you are a very pretty woman , but until you tell yourself that and believe it you are going to be miserable.as far as your husband you should stand up for yourself and demand better treatment .if you show him that you respect yourself and feel worthy of better treatment you will get it . ooooooooooo love & hugs
start small.... do something for yourself...
take a walk every day...
do something you want to do that you haven\'t because everyone else comes first.....
When you start taking care of you.... you will start to feel better ...
I think as a mother and wife.. you have put yourself on hold... now is the time to put yourself first...
There\'s an old expression.... if the wife isn\'t happy no one is.....
Like everyone said... you can\'t change him but you can change you... find little ways to stand up for yourself or if he\'s yelling about something stupid.. just walk out of the room.... (or you could just ignore him and yes him til he\'s done.... don\'t take what he was saying to heart)....
You are a loving giving person....
remember that and try to do something nice for you... and that may help your self esteem......
When you feel down... come to DS for support....
Bigs hugs.... looks for the sunshine...
