well, i went to my 37 week docs appt. and it turns out that i'm Strep B POSITIVE! so that means that when i go into labor, i have to be given medicine before the baby arrives so she doesnt get infected during the birth.If she becomes infected, then she could get very sick and possibly even die. Lots of babies that get sick, get help right away and are ok, but other babies are permenetly scarred. They can lose hearing or their vision, and possibly develope diseaeses such as MS and Cerebral Palsy. So, needless to say, i'm very upset and scared right now. I couldnt help but cry when my doc told me, even though he said not to worry. As long as i get the penicilin before the baby is delivered (4 hrs before) then she should be ok. But i'm extremely worried because i'm already 3 cm dilated, and when i went into labor last time, it was FAST!!! So what happens if it goes really fast this time??? I have no idea whats going to happen, but i just want my baby here HEALTHY!!! on a more positive note (ha, ha) the doc said my mucous plug is completely gone, and that baby has dropped completely, and ready to go ANYTIME!!! In his words "She's waiting at the gates!" so hopefully she will come soon, and we will be able to see her healthy and happy. I'm glad i'm aware of the strep b now, because i'll know to go to the hospital right away. The nursery is almost completely finished, except for a little teeny bit of painting. I drew some care bears on  her closet doors, and just need to finish filling in one of them. Everyone thinks they're sooo adorable, so thats good, seeing as i'm not the greatest artist!lol, but all we need now is the baby, so now the waiting game begins!
