Thankful

Time is flying again, it is almost Thanksgiving. This year I will be working but I still wanted to give thanks for all that I have. It is insane to think of where I was even a year ago in my life to where I am now, I am like a completely new person. Well not completely but I have accomplished a lot in a year.

It has almost been a year since I graduated nursing school, nuts right? I was worried back then about how people percieved me and whether or not I was going to be able to get my license and get a job. And the snow, lol im still afraid of the snow but one hurdle at a time.

Things worked out for me, I feel so blessed in life. I know I still have my downfalls and I that things aren't perfect but they are PRETTY DARN CLOSE if you ask me. I couldn't ask for anything more. That is why this year I am giving thanks for everything and asking nothing in return. I don't even want anything for Christmas really. I mean all I really want to do is be with everyone to see how happy they are. I really love the holidays.

I think things are better because my outlook is better. I am no longer pitying myself. I am more focused than ever on doing good. There is a word in nursing, BENEFICENCE it means to do good, to do no harm. and that is what I am trying to do, only good and to harm nothing.
