Goods news about cars. They may have broken down but it is not much $$to get one of them back on the road. I am glad for this right now. If I could get to the month of May without a lot of other things$$ like this then life will be much better.I am going to save and plan for the next car. I know that day will come a long. I bought one several years ago. Have put many miles on it. They just rack up with commuting. I would like to afford a newer car but the payment is just not an option for me. Maintenance and repair for older models has tracked to be cheaper. The insurance and plates are for real! Here comes really cold weather. I use to do all this well. Now, a little tired and want to stay away from the struggle of cold. I have to be outdoors with horses and now puppies. And to think my Mom lived in the snowy mountains of New York in a home heated by a cook stove in the kitchen. Bedrooms upstairs and she put her bed against the brick chimney for extra warmth. Wow. And no bathroom in the house either. She did not know this was a hard way to live. And she lived in town with electricity!! Her grandparents ran a dairy farm without utilities. Can you imagine all this work by hand! Makes me happy for my way of living.Keep warm peopleCheers for Spring time...not long now!!

Well, it is snowing here in atlanta for the second time this week, and our city is grinding to a halt :) And my car died in the New Years week, so i am with you on the car issues... it is truly hard to have a peaceful attitude when it effects your job and everything else in your life, including your budget. Buying a new used one, and aquiring a car payment, is one of the most stressful things i have done in a really long time. So hopefully we have all now gotten rid of our car karma, and can move on and enjoy the rest of the cool weather :) ..... hugs, pam

Hope things work out for you with the cars. Wish there was something I could suggest. Many of the cars we\'ve had in the past were used but Dennis used to work at a gas station and we have a friend who\'s a mechanic so I trust that they are good when we get them. They\'ve lasted for years. Toyota and Hondas. LOL, can\'t beat those Japanese cars. Anyway, good luck.
I have no heat in my house, except for the fire place which isn\'t really good for heating a house and the electric heater I have to sit very close to be a little warm. I only use one or the other or both when I can\'t stand the cold anymore, try to hold off using them.
I always think about the early settlers and how they built up the country from nothing. Humans can do things, they can survive. LOL, we are much too comfortable in the world today.
Be warm.
