Oh my has this been a busy month. I took on extra work so of course it is time to be burned out and exhausted. To the point that I can not sleep again. Not a complaint...yet (smile).
Just learned my dog, 9 years, has heart worm. She was given to me 4 yers ago but I have always known her. I had her and tested yearly. Plus the preventative. The idea is maybe they(eggs/worms) were there and the preventative kept them small, growing slowly.. Huh?? Bottom line is that she will need 3 injections at 120 bucks each. Yes, I am going to do this. She is so very healthy otherwise and such a nice dog. She does not scare anyone or bark. Just a really nice pal...and inside most of the time...only goes out with me to walk and visit her green space in the woods. I am so glad not to be in the city with a baggie and ..well ...you know...pick up "dooty"
It will be my turn to see the DR at the end of NOV. She is not going to be happy with me. My sugar levels are not too great and been so for...long time. I eat what is on the list though. So, one thing is happening. The exercise plan is not even in my focus. This will be her beef with me. Because of the symptoms of neuropathy in my feet. I do regret not having stuck with one of the many attempts to work out. I get so far and miss a day, week, month...I just get my 10-20 minute walk and this is not hacking it.
My Mom wants me to try new meds for the pain in my feet. I would rather make myself go to exercise class. It would be something I would do. Especially knowing my legs are just going to get worse without more movement. Other parts of me are having poor circulation too. I dropped scalding coffee on my stomach the other day and though the pain was imense, the spot did not turn red for a few mintues. I was shocked. My partner is a nurse and saw this. I saw tears being held back. That is a first.
So, maybe I am a little concerned about myself. Certainly the dog!! She and I will just have to get into a little more walking and stretching. We will both need it! One thing is for sure, it is true that one can not change what they do not acknowledge.
Have a peaceful day....Cheers~
