OK. Got to vent a little. Power steering is out on the farm truck (can still drive but really bad leak) and I need hay. Price of hay has doubled in 2 months because we're short everywhere. The horses are suppose to go to a field but the cost of fencing, time, quality of what there is for them to eat, is all in my face today. Things are just a stretch. Way too thin. I do not manage this well. I feel like a beetle on its back.Where are the days when you could find a few friends to help lighten the load. I grew up in 4H with the horses and we just had a network. It is to bad that we dont have 4H adult. Oh, there are some pockets of groups but they are so far from here. OK, enough tapping on the computer keys. This will not feed any horses today or get the truck fixed. Cheers to resolutions

wow......seems everything is going up in price!! according to weather, price of oil, fuel, gas is outrageous here in Calif. I really want a better energy source, to buy a hybrid car and so does Trish! but we are still paying off the vehicles we have! Anyway, I\'m in awe of folks who have horses! Too be honest,I have a fear of them if im up too close! Long stories there and not all \"get \" it..nor do i need to get into it!!but I did ide a shetland pony a few times!! (hey!! small I know!)lived on a farm in the country (upstate NY) for 2 yrs when I was young, in a foster home. Thats where the pony was. MY partners folks had a farm and farmed when she was a kid. Some of them still do farm to a degree.(again, Upstate NY). So she has plenty of stories she\'s told me. Anyway, Good luck!!! with your truck & hay & horses! I agree, re:(yr. horses) (other journal entry you wrote i think) its like family & our pets are unconditional. I love animals. even if somes size intimidate me!
