Today was a hard day. I awakened to learn one of my dogs needed to be put to sleep. Sparing details, he was 9 and a Golden Ret. There are just some disorders this breed gets and they become sick and go...fast. I have had many goldens over..hum...27 years. So, this is the first time in years that I have been without one. Odd.
The remaining dog to my house is a black collie. A big girl dog who came to live with me when her owner (my neighbor) moved. She is playful and we will keep one another company. Infact, I bought a new leash for the walking we

i am so sorry to hear about your dog.... they are truly our babies. I hope that you find comfort in the days to come with your black dog. Good luck with the walking... I have to start doing that soon too.
Someone had a Golden on the dog egroup I\'m on and the same thing happened. It was so sad, we all know him so well through her emails even though we hadn\'t met in person. It\'s so very emotional.
I\'m so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope in time you\'ll only have happy memories and the sadness will not be as great.
