I wrote this in 2011 about my son:

Someday
Someday I want to be sitting with you
And your baby and wife
Telling stories of all the crazy things
Your teenage boy brain thought were cool

Someday I want to look back and remember
The nights I worried
About school and drugs and fights and trouble
And be glad you came through unscathed

Someday I want to shed a tear
While telling everyone who can hear me
How proud I am of all you’ve accomplished
And the road you took getting there

But right now
While we are right in the middle
My heart breaks and I cry
And pray for someday to happen

I can\'t possibly know what you are going through, but I have 2 girls - 7 years and 8 weeks. I do know that a mother\'s love never ends. Hang in there.

Oh - my heart is aching for you! He\'s so young to be in treatment - and for a second time! I know my youngest son started using when he was in middle school but it didn\'t rear it\'s ugly head until he was a sophomore in high school that landed him in treatment.

I hope you\'re getting support. I was a mess when depression hit my middle son, followed by us being hit along side the head with the other son\'s addiction but through Al Anon and a family support group - I\'m much better today - even though our boys are still using. That said - we haven\'t had any real drama since last summer - so the true test will be is how I respond to it.

Anyway - my best to you! AND my prayers.
