fyi: matt got caught on the phone last weekend talking to his dad.....not me so...not my fault.well this morning i kinda feel just a little down b/c of stuff i have been reading on here that military wives and fiancees and girlfriends have written about the army life. it sounds lonely and depressing and i always dreamed of living here in kentucky all my life....starting to realize that if im with matt then my dreams are shattered. :( i been thinkning lately, "is this the life i want for myself?" i know im young but you know when they say when you find the right person you'll just know that hes the one? well i used to know that he was the one with no doubt in my mind....now i have no idea. dont get me wrong i want him to be "the one" but i just dont know if its gonna work out that way. :( idk what to do here

Military life can be lonely and depressing, but it doesn\'t have to be.
I lived in the same small town for 23 years before marrying my military man. I also thought I\'d always live in that small town where I grew up, surrounded by my family. Now, I\'ve been away from \"home\" for two years. There are still times where I miss my family, but we stay in touch through phone, email, and visit as often as we can. I\'ve even gotten to the point where I\'m ready to come back to our \"military life\" in California when I do visit family!
I think most of the time you get out of it what you put into it. I\'m not going to say it\'s easy all the time, but for me personally - I wouldn\'t trade it for the world. I\'ve made lots of great friends and will see parts of the world I\'d never see if I wasn\'t part of the military family. Most importantly, my husband loves his job and I love supporting him and staying be his side 2000 miles from home.
You\'re in a position right now where you can decide this isn\'t the life for you - and that\'s okay too...it\'s not for everybody. Only you know what\'s best for you.
But it\'s not all horrible, lonely, and despressing. I LOVE being a military wife!
I don\'t really believe that there is only one person out there for each of us. i think there are several people who could be the \"one\" inour lives, if we give them (and ourselves) the chance.
That being said... don\'t let all of the military horror stories stop you from pursuing a life with Matt. And hey, sometimes our dreams change... I used to want completely different things out of life! You might find that travelling the world is amazing! You might learn that you like things that you never imagined liking. Just listen to your heart. If you don\'t feel a certain way, you can\'t force it... but remember that it is easy to grow apart while you are physically apart. You might feel differently if you get to spend a bit more time with him. *hug*
For the record I LOVE out military life.
Oh sweetie!! Me and you are feeling the same exact way!! I didn\'t want to go into detail with you about it the other night when you were texting me because I didn\'t want you to feel the same if you weren\'t already thinking it!! But we will get through this!! I promised my friend these next couple of months to feel it out, he\'s says that this boot camp thing is one of the biggest humps to get over because everything is new for everyone involved. So do the same for me!! We can both make the promise to try to just get through one situation at a time!!
