Confused
Hi all,
Well I've been struggling for ages with myself, trying to live a life that means something to me. But I've failed. And while I know it's not fair to compare yourself with other people's lives it's hard not to do.
The friends I have been living with are moving to Oregon. I chose not to go, I have made arrangements with someone here in the community to move in with them. I cat sit for her. She is a very nice person, but I have no idea how long she'll let me stay.
My friend's husband is a very luck person. He is retiring early from his job, he is getting a great retirement package. He gets to keep his health insurance, one that the company will pay, for the rest of his life. His company will pay for the move, if he agrees to take one of their vendors. So he is set financially for a long while. Though he is the type of person I'm sure will find a job out there. He is in IT and I am sure he won't have a problem finding a great paying job out there in OR.
And I've made a mess of my own life, I had an opportunity to built up a good bank acct while living with them. I've been here for 9 years and have barely worked. So I am in a bad way financially. I don't have money for health insurance, not even the one Obama care is offering. I am filing for an exemption. I owe money to the IRS for the money I DID made from the pet sitting job I have. I can't really afford to give them it all in one shot. So I have to see about doing a payment arrangement OR take a hit in my small bank acct.
how can anyone mess up so badly in life? I know it could be worse, I could be an alcoholic, a drug addict, serial killer, etc.
So I keep feeling I only can be happy part of the time. I don't think I deserve a good life. I can only watch from the side lines and see other people make out well.
When you get to be in your 50s like me you start seeing the people around you retiring and then I get to thinking I can't do that, probably will never be able to.
:(
Thanks for listening

I know a friend, he can\'t afford to retire. You are not alone. I don\'t like when it comes to money and that\'s the last thing on my mind.
You do deserve a good life, Lily. We all do. Make the best in every situation no matter what happens, don\'t give up trying. Many, many hugs
Hi Lily, god bless your heart. You will never be alone. You are still a young woman, and have chances, and opportunities, always, to find a good job you are comfortable with, and can work, and can have the life and income you want :) Don\'t look at yourself as a failure, you aren\'t a failure, everyone goes through a rough patch, and during these times, family, and friends, can do so much to help. i know it\'s a very emotional time, with your friends moving, and you not wanting to go with them, due to the long move. it\'s a blessing your friend there, is going to help you :) i\'m gonna send you a message, about how i earn money online, it\'s not a lot, but it\'s something, and can help :)
i\'m sending positive vibes, and our best well wishes, from our hearts to yours :) Sending you a message :)
Hugs to you. It\'s not easy to become financially independent. Most of us are doing the best that we can. Keep looking up. There has to be something good ahead for you.
