Waiting...

Mom is moved in to the assisted living, She is scared because it is all new and being blind everything is hard to learn quickly and she still cna't stand on her own or can barely stand on her own and is afraid to do much because she cna't see and thinks she will fall and hurt herself.
So I'm worried for her. But I think where she is is better than where she was. I hope and think she will get used to things and find her level of comfort and be ok.
Meanwhile I am waiting for my father to be placed there also. Until he does I have to keep going over to watch him every other day. My brother is still not wanting dad to be placed and may cause trouble. I am thinking about stopping helping with my dad and leave it entirely up to my brother if he doesn't let my dad to be put in the assisted living. They can afford it and when my father gets his veteran's benefits it won't even cost anything for him. There is no real reason to keep him at home being baby sat by us when he can have so much better.
But still I am anxious as to what my brother may do and how long it will take my mother to become comfortable and trust her new place and the people there. She also needs to gain the confidence to start getting up on her own again. This will come with time and getting used to her situation.
My sister is in the hospital now, She just had her Thyroid removed because they found cancer in it. While they wre taking it out they also found some cancer in the lymph nodes near it but said that it didn't seem to have spread any further and they think they got it. She will have to go through iodine treatments and take hormones from now on. She is in good spirits though and seems to not be afraid. She has trust in the doctors and believes that they have fixed the problem. I pray that is true. She will be getting out of the hospital today or tomorrow.
Once my father is placed, my sister will have to live alone in their house, She will have people coming over to check on her and help take care of her but it will be new for her. She has never b3een alone like this before. she says she isn't scared but I'm not sure how it will be when she is actually left alone. She has been left alone in the hospital for the last few days pretty much alone since her mom and dad can't go and stay with her and she seems to be doing alright. My hopes are for the best and that she will be alright and be able to cope with it. I'll be visiting and helping her a lot more than I used to do but I don't know if it will be enough and if the care she has will think she is able to stay on her own, If they determine it is too expensive or she can't do it they will move her out of her house and into some other kind of care like a group home or boarding situation. My sister does not want this and is very upset by even mentioning it.
Those reading, please send prayers for my sister. Prayers for mom, dad and brother wouldn't hurt either. If they are ok, then I will most likely be ok, too.
