Sorry Jen, dance no workie. my IV blew this morning so I tried to start another one seeing as how no nursies have called and the one they sent me, although she was very nice, had no skills. well after I stuck myself ....oh....10 times, ran outta needles, called my friend to come start one. long story short we got one after about 5 tries...whew. so back in bidness again, got my anti-biotic. 4 down 6 to go. don't know what I'm gonna do if I need another IV. my veins are usually really good ......... sigh........ went to 3 bookstores and called another only to have to order a book on lyme disease. reeeeeee-diculos. did a big no no and feel asleep at 5pm, please God let me sleep tonight. my hips and back feel like there fused together with concrete knees too. didnt ask this doc for anything for pain, you know the drill, drug seeker, yadda yadda. maybe now that they see that ...ok I am a lunatic still, but a lunatic with Lyme, perhaps I can get a tylenol EXTRA STRENGTH! he he. anywho still hanging in and I think will most def be ready to go back to work december 3rd wooooooo hooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cripes girl ask someone for something for the pain... you dont need to suffer through this like this... you need pain meds... if it is bad enough that they have you on an iv..it is bad enough for them to give you pain meds...sigh... and here im having the oposite issue...they keep increasing my pain meds and not doing anything else...grin...
maybe you just need a different dr...

Good for you for trying on the IV yourself, most would not have, Whats up with a nurse who could not do it coming to your aid,,that was handy huh? good luck to you.I love your attitude.
