A lil sad today...at work and had to carry a lady (not very big) up a flight of steps and about dropped her. between balance and useless left arm, had a really hard time. I didnt think I had lost any strength, just numbness. typically I can carry someone twice her size...hurts my back but, I can do it...could do it. smiley-frown.gif arm just wont co-operate, soooo...tommorrow I hit the weights ( gotta a bowflex in basement have to blow the dust off of...lol) pisses me off cause Ive always been so proud of the fact that I am one of the females that will get in there and carry a patient without a thought...you know...."oh Im just a girl....can you men carry her?" I could lift with the best of em'...dang gotta call, gotta go...

give yourself some credit here...and dont be so hard on yourself... you can only push as far as your body will let you....cripes...grin.. i almost squashed my ms physio the other day..lol.. i told her i could not walk in a straight line..sigh.. would not believe me..had to catch me..grin..rofl...
we do what we are able to do my dear... you are still able to work...take pride in that fact alone... especially for such a physcially demanding job...

You\'ve been doing an excellent job there kiddo, but you\'ve got to give your body time to adjust; don\'t go into gym expecting to pick up where you left off some weeks ago - you won\'t be able to - you do know about diet? - taking cod liver oil, and flaxseed oil. I do every 2 days, & even force it onto g\'son. Have a rice or corn cake ready with some butter or marg. on it & eat immediately - most folk hate the fishy taste & the linseed\'s strong (keep both in fridge)-Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids: they are the good guys- seems they are important in building myelin sheath around nerves. Have you heard any more from fyour various quacks yet? (I\'ve had a rough time with the lst one, so am being irreverant!) Keep strong, but don\'t expect everything to go smoothly all the time (Have lived with 3 people with this disease - when I trip up: first thing I think of - usually it\'s one of my arthritic bits, but I have a double-load genetically. Should have quit this panic after turning 60, but still it happens....All the best JaneD.
