What is it with depression? I have been feeling pretty good, so I have delayed that visit to the doc, but I got up this morning and it was there, it bashed me on the head and slapped me in the face, the dreaded depression. The entire day has been a struggle, zapped of all energy. I walked around in slow motion and in came the dark thoughts, the fighting of tears, and the hopelessness aaarrgg. Of course it screwed my eating today as well, can't even recall what I ate today, I didn't have any meals, I cooked for eveyone else, but didn't eat it myself. I kind of thoughtlessly grazed throughout the day. I hate this feeling. I know it has nothing to do with my weight loss program, or even the stresses that I have been under. It has to be clinical depression because of they way it strikes me. It has struck me on many occasions when things were good in my life, that can't be right. Well, I will have to prioritise and try and get a doc appointment a.s.a.p. My hubby's response is to say very little to me, sensing that I am not ok. Don't know why he just doesn't offer a hug, I really don't expect him to have the answers or say the right thing, just offer something to let me know that he is with me. Well, tomorrow is another day and I will pick myself up and brush myself down.

Awe, my friend....I am sorry that you had a rough day. I am offering a hug, and letting you know that I am with you. :)
Have yourself a nice hot cup of tea, a hot bath. Get a good nights rest....sometimes, things just look better in the morning. When the rest of the world (or your hubby) doesn\'t seem to understand, or be so kind, then that is when we most need to be kind to ourselves.
Sweet Dreams to you!

I know it\'s amazing how it can show it\'s big ugly head all of the sudden. Hope you feel better! Christal
That depression likes to sneak up on people, then kick ya when you are down. Be gentle with yourself today. Big hugs, Mars
You are taking a great attitude towards this- being proactive with the doc appointment and knowing that tomorrow is a new day with new possibilities. This is something you will get through. I hope the doc appt goes well for you. Let us know what happens!

I know with me and my wife, counseling has helped us be much more supportive of each other. I was very scared to go at first (Because I\'m a MAN, DAMMIT!) but it really has been great...
Thank you all for your comments, it never ceases to amaze me how helpful this site is. It is FAR better than the private journals I have kept. This is way better. THANK YOU!!! Will be sending you all a big hug!
