Today I felt sooooo tired and drained.  I guess it is the lifestyle changes, I thought that it is supposed to make you feel more energetic?! I was too knackered to go to the gym.  I guess it will get worse before it gets better.  Well, I spent all evening resisting a chocolate bar that my hubby forgotten to eat and left it in the cupboard. I could never forget that I had a choccie bar waiting for me in the cupboard! I picked it up, stroked it and sniffed the wrapper - twice, how sad it that! But, I reluctantly grabbed a banana and a drink.  Now I don't want it and I don't need it. I watched a program called 'diet doctor' and they shown how all the fat gets into the liver when eating hi-fat diets, eeewww, I keep picturing the image of the fat engorged liver and know that I do not want to do this to myself anymore, hope it isn't too late!

Here\'s a tip that has worked great for me. I was very overweight last year. I tried exercise but it didn\'t help lose the weight so I started doing \"portion control\"...it\'s the same concept used by Weight Watchers. I started right before Thanksgiving, believe me, it was tough. I weighed over 200 lbs and was in a size 18. I started eating smaller portions and to help keep me full, drank lots and lots of water. I love Coke soft drinks (not Diet) and cut way back on drinking those. I ate anything and evertying I wanted BUT..the key is to eat very little. Whenever I go out to eat I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS get a \"take out\" box and divide my food in 1/2 before even touching my plate. It\'s a mind thing now...I won\'t touch my food until I separate it in 1/2 first. If I feel like having a burger, I either get a kid burger or cut a regular burger in 1/2. I drink water with my meals...before, during, and after....and it keeps me full. I started this in November 06 and by May 07, I had lost 50 lbs and am down to a size 6. I just bought a pair of size 4 jeans 2 weeks ago and am probably down another 4 lbs. My only problem is that I don\'t exerercise and I know that\'s not good...but...what I\'m trying to get across to you is that portion control works...just set small goals. Try it for just 1 week and see how you do. Then go for another week. Then try for another...before you know it...you\'ll be down in lbs and clothing. It would have been ok to have 1/2 the candy bar today. I\'m going to be honest...it\'s very difficult at first but once you get past the 1st month or so, it\'s not difficult. It\'s amazing how little food our bodies need. Be sure and take supplements as well. I did this right before the holidays...and believe me..I\'ve been heavy for many years...if I can do this...anyone can. Good luck!!!

I need to clarify...when I said be sure and take supplements, I meant vitamins...not diet pills. : )

Hey there, ya know I was tired at first too, at first it does wear you out until u get used to it then you\'ll be having more energy. Mine comes and goes I still have no energy somedays and more on others. Just do what you can. Some days you\'ll work harder than others. Plus if your craving chocolate I found there are a lot of good low cal, fat, sugar etc. treats out there now. Also, I find just cutting down. Sometims I\'ll just have a mini candy bar or something - just to have a taste of what I\'m craving and a glass of water...it helps. It\'s all in moderation and cutting down but don\'t deprive yourself bc I think that\'s the quickest way to fail...a lifestyle change is something u can live with. Anyway, your going to do fine! Good luck ! Christal

Hey hey. :)

I had to look up a \'stone\'..lol. and YES..almost a whole stone! I have 5 stone, to go..hehe. I like the way that sounds, doesn\'t seem as much...lol!

I hear you, on the energy thing....what a roller coaster! My energy is whacked, my emotions are whacked...I will be sooo glad, to get all this stuff on an even keel.

Oh, on the chocolate thing...you could try a small square of dark chocolate. You get the chocolate fix, without all the calories. A lil\' dark chocolate, goes a long way. (Darn, now I want chocolate..lol)

Hangin\' in there, with you...
Hugs, Paulette :)

Hmmm stroking it and sniffing the wrapper? Are you sure it\'s an eating disorder and not some kind of fetish? :P

I find being tired from going to the gym to be a very different kind of exhaustion to just being tired due to poor health. With the former I sleep better for a start!

Heheh. You did much better smelling it than I would have done!

I am sure your body is just adjusting but overall you will end up with more energy. Just takes time to find a good rythm.
