TGIF
It's FRIDAY and I'm psyched! Although I like my job, I have to get up every morning Monday-Friday at 5:30 am. sigh I'm not a morning person, so I really love sleeping in on the weekends. And, if I happen to wake up early on a Saturday morning, I will sometimes treat myself to a nap in the afternoon...something I can't do during the week. It's like a treat to myself to be able to stay awake on a Saturday night and watch late night tv. Ok, ok...it's the little things. :)
The only thing I'm not really looking forward to is having DSGS7 over tomorrow and overnight. He's a good boy, but I just so enjoy it just being me and dh on the weekends. Although I've known DSGS7 since he was a baby, I just don't have the bond with him that dh does. He's not blood and I know what it feels like to totally love a grandchild as I DO have one (DGS11) although he's in an open adoption. That matters not because my heart skips a beat when I see him, unlike DSGS7. I've tried, but it's just not there. I love him and am good to him, but don't have the NEED to see him like dh does. I could see him a couple times a year and be fine. Dh and I aren't like the typical grandparents we know...we're relative newlyweds (although we're in our 50's)...only been together 6 years. I still cherish our time alone.

I feel for you and understand. I hope you still get nap time or at least relish time with Dh even more when you do get the chance. Your sweetness is apparent.
I love to take naps too!
