2 whole weeks
Yesterday completes 2 weeks since the surgery and was also the first night since then that I have been able to sleep for 4 hours straight. I had been waking up almost every 2 hours and changed from recliner to bed so that I could sleep. I know this has been keeping my husband up at night also because every time I try to get up its a struggle. I had a lot of visitors yesterday because of Christmas which didn' t allow for much resting, I wonder if that was the reason for the sleep last night. Whatever it was it really helped. I wonder when will be the day I can finally sleep a whole night without interruptions or pain. I now know the importance of not taking things for granted and can't wait till all of this is over. I know the kids missed the way we usually celebrate Christmas and so did the family members that are usually over at house celebrating with us on Christmas eve. My sister-in-law spent the night by herself with her kids this year because of my lack of mobility and because since I'm not comfortable enough with my sleep patterns I couldn' t have her spend the night like she's done for 15 years now. I know she was sad especially since my mother-in-law passed away last year in November. Hopefully next year everything will be back to normal.
