2 bestfriends helped with Dave they are so smart
Two of my best and oldest friends helped me regarding Dave. They have been through the ringer themselves. They know what they are talking about.
One advised me as follows: But he has been mulling it over for a while. He is surprised that he can feel again. He thought he would never be able to trust again. He was trying to be upfront and honest with you. This is an excellent thing. It's a good sign.
Another advised me as follows: You are right, it must have been crossing his mind if he brought it up. He probably was thinking how nice it is to have a companion and what would it be like to live together, and then his mind goes...whoa, slow down buddy! It's just his thoughts coming out of his mouth. He's definitely a bit ahead of you in your relationship, but that's really common for relationships to be unbalance for awhile. He probably is scared.
I am so lucky to have two good and wise friends to help me when I don't understand some things. I am ready to throw out the baby with the bathwater even when I was with Smokey and now with Dave. When I was with Smokey, in my mind only, I had broken up with him a million times over but it just stayed in my head. Things worked out or I calmed down after getting so angry or we talked. Smoother heads prevailed and this lasted ten years with the love of my life and soul mate. Now I am doing the same thing with Dave. As long as it stays in my head, I can work through the hormones, emotions, or situation with the Grace of God thru Jesus Christ. I am not alone. God has given me good people in my life including everyone on Daily Strength. This is what I am greatful to the most in my life is all the good people that surround me every day. I feel so lucky and so blessed.
