2! 2! 2!
Well she is 2. It's over and done with. My baby is old. lol. I know she has technically been a toddler for a while now but it felt like she was still a baby to me as long as I could measure her age in months and not years. Like saying she was 21 months instead of just 1 year. But now when people ask the answer will be a year amount!
The party went well actually. Despite all the people cancelling. In the end it just meant that the kids could all have more then one cupcake. And something I did not realize when I ordered them was that the 'icing' was really a marshmallow fluff combo. So we had 11 marshmallow fluff covered kids running around! Hooray that it was at a local swimming place. Outdoor manmade lake, so we just sent the kids into the water after they were done! lol. The rootbeer flavoured cupcakes were a hit and a half. And Marlow got some new dolls. Yaaaay. I think that she already has too many dolls but I totally get the doll deal because I buy little girls dolls all the time too...lol..it's a fail safe!
And then I hit up a garage sale that was a dayhome closing. And I started mine up again so I'm always on the lookout. I got a bunch of really good deals, including a double stroller for only $10!
And Marlow was actually really good this evening, despite the junk she ate. Well, actually, she didn't like the icing, and other then pizza all I served was health food. So I guess she really filled up on fruit, veggies, and the fruit/veggie juice boxes. But she was super good. She kept asking me to sing the happy birthday to marlow song to her and every time I would say her name she would laugh and clap. It was adorable! And she went ot bed without any tears. And she still has not gotten out of her bed and into trouble!
And Joey went to play poker, and I'm okay with that. The people he plays with like to drink, and he doesn't. So there is a $50 buy in and he usually comes home with $100+ because they get drunk and play stupid. But that and he has been really good with letting me go out for coffee with my best friend 2 to 3 times a week lately. She's been going through a rough patch and he hasn't once complained about having to put Marlow to bed, that includes bathing and brushing. Instead he gives me a kiss, tells me he loves me and goes about it. So I was more then happy to let him go out tonight.
And Monday I start with a new kid in my day home. Plus I am setting up an interview with another mother for her kid, and my other 2 start in October. My only sore spot is that I'm going to have to tell my sister that I won't be able to watch her son anymore.
