1st Ultrasound

**This journal is for my records to look back and is pregnancy related. Please do not feel like you need to read this, I totally understand**
 
We had our first ultrasound today and I was a nervous wreck! Plus, our RE was running a bit late so sitting there in anticipation was just killing me! I even had a little breakdown telling my husband how nervous I was because everything up until this point had always been bad news, always! So the fact that we were even sitting there with the ultrasound machine showing my name and how far along I am, 5w2d, it was almost too much and I started to tear up a little! But I pulled myself together and was just so excited to finally see my RE walk in!
 
The first thing he said to me, while he was washing his hands, was "are you ready to see your twins?" and I said "Are you sure?!" and then he said "I've been wrong before & I'll be wrong again but I am certain you are having twins." and as soon as he adjusted the ultrasound wand, there they were TWINS!!! My husband and I just sat there and I started laughing! I think we both knew that that was probably what we would see with how high my beta was. But it's still just shocking to actually see them!
 
So, I will continue going to my RE for the next 4 weeks and I'm pretty sure he does and u/s at every appt! I'm so excited for next week because he said we should see/hear the heartbeats and I am sooooo excited for that!!
