1st Ultrasound!

I can't stop crying.....tears of joy.....1st ultrasound showed a sac and a yolk sac! I cannot tell you how relieved I am. I cried like a baby, I was so happy to see everything is progressing ok. Of course, I'm only at 6 weeks and anything can happen but for now, I'm rejoicing and jumping for joy over making it through this hurdle. I'm waiting to hear from the RE about my bloodwork results and more about today's u/s, but hopefully that will just be a routine call. Next u/s is a week from today, next Tuesday. I am so amazed, grateful and relieved that I've made it this far. I am still shocked that after almost 3 years of TTC unsucessfully, I am finally pregnant for the first time. Thank you all again for the outpouring of support and love. My gratitude for you cannot be said in words. Love to all xoxoxo

Thank you everyone!!!! It means so much to read your comments. So my clinic just called to tell me the results of today\'s visit: they confirmed an intrauterine pregnancy but the fetal heartbeat was negative. WTF?! Why would they need to tell me that obvious fact? It\'s too early for a heartbeat! Why can\'t they focus on the good here, that there\'s a sac and a yolk sac and I\'m where I should be at 6 weeks. For now, I\'m pregnant and where I should be and all looks good. That is what I am choosing to focus on.

good for you. That is pretty rude to throw that in there. Unless they have a heartbeat number, why say anything about it at all? STupid.

I am realizing my clinic doesn\'t have the best bedside manner or way of looking at the cup as half full.

Congrats, on your first ultrasound and seeing that sac. Yes, sometimes week 6 is too early to see that heart beat. You\'re right. Your clinic doesn\'t have the best bed side manner. So glad you\'re staying positive. You\'re off to a pomising start!

I\'m so happy to hear the news overall. F their bedside manner. I think some of them are good at this (explaining, being sympathetic, etc.) and every once in a while they do a shitty shitty job at this. Oh well, you know better. It IS too early for a heartbeat. You\'re right on schedule which is great news. Enjoy the moment, live in the moment. That\'s all we can do.

So happy that you got to see everything and that you now feel much bettee. I can\'t believe your clinic. I don\'t know how doctors make it through school without learning how to deal with humans.
Congrats ! I\'m sure you will see a hb next week.
