One Day at a time!
I am working so hard at simply taking one day at a time. I miss Cory and Matt and think of them alot but each day I remind myself of the damage she did to me. I remind myself of the lies, the betrayal from her and my former friend... thats what gives me the strength to move on.
I am trying to look forward to a day when she no longer matters to my heart. I just hope that day comes sooner than later. Today, I had a few memories of her and it caused me to lose my train of thought for a few minutes... I did get it together though and continued on....
I find myself hoping that her new man shows his true colors soon. I am filled with so much anger towards them I just want them to feel a bit of what I went through...
I shouldn't think like that but I do...

i hear ya... I dont; know if my ex is dating again.. but lately I was hoping things were tough over christmas/new years/his birthday ... that isnt even like me but I\'m just really hoping it so he can at least feel the loss that I feel
you know the way you said you remind yourself of the betrayals etc is exactly in line with this website I found on dealing with a broken heart by a psychologist (or someone).. he actually makes you visualize a few of your worst memories and see them like a super fast 5second film over the top of the best memories you had... and it really helped. I have to say it took away the intense I can\'t deal with this feeling..
It sounds like you made a quicker rebound today...every little victory counts!

Are you getting any sort of counselling? I\'m just wondering if it would help you to sit & talk with someone in order to 1) know that your feelings were being heard by a live person who could give you compassionate feedback & 2) have someone help you set up a game plan for pulling your focus back to yourself & getting you thinking about your own life & future.
After a year and a half I still think of the betrayal, lies and the way I was treated. I am moving forward but the anger I still have towards him hasn\'t gone away. I have recently started talking to my therapist again and I am going to work on the anger. I never want to be friends or even see him again but to be free from the anger can only help me down the road. Talking to someone who has the knowledge and understanding professionally can only help. This is a long hard road to travel but time does help the healing process. HUGS
I spent a year and a half in counseling during my separation and divorce and then went back for a tune up this past year. It really does help to talk with a counselor about your feelings.
I understand the anger--I carried mine for three years and then finally said, \"I have to let this go.\" Seeing my ex a few months ago helped with this. I saw him in a convenience store and spoke to him. He looked miserable--he carries so much guilt. Seeing that somehow freed me and the anger left.
I hope you find your way out of the anger. It literally is a ball and chain hanging around your neck.
Many hugs for healing.
Have you been able to set up boundaries with your employees and friends too? I think that with as much pain as you\'ve had throughout all this they should respect that you\'d rather they didn\'t mention her. I hope you can instigate that extra cushion of padding in your life because you really need it.
